The Kentucky Council of the Blind publishes a newsletter that brings you news of local, state and national activities. The newsletter also contains information about other programs and resources for blind and visually impaired people. The newsletter is available in large print, on cassette tape, and by e-mail.
KCB has two e-mail lists that are designed to meet your information needs. They both deliver information to your inbox about legislation, new products, programs and activities, job opportunities and medical news related to blindness and visual impairment. The kentucky-acb-announce list allows information only, while kentucky-acb also carries conversation, humor, comment and opinion posted by list participants. Both lists are free and open to everyone.
The American Council of the Blind publishes an excellent magazine called "The Braille Forum". Each monthly issue brings information that is nationwide in scope on a wide range of topics. The popular "Here and There" column contains a number of up-to-the-minute resources; "High Tech Swap Shop" posts announcements about technology that blind people want to buy or sell. The Forum is available in braille, large print, on casette, and via e-mail.
Request your free copy of the KCB newsletter, a subscription to the "Braille Forum", or to be added to one or both KCB e-mail lists by calling us at 502-895-4598, or request your free subscriptions here.
We are building an archive of past issues of the KCB newsletter. Click here for Newsletter Archives, and remember to check back often to read more newsletters from the past.
